New Jersey Rehabilitation Association

As President of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey chapter of the National Rehabilitation Association, I welcome you to our website!

 NRA is the premier professional organization for persons committed to the empowerment of all individuals with disabilities. The New Jersey chapter follows a similar mission - to promote advocacy for individuals with disabilities, and to promote professional and personal growth for an inter-disciplinary network of rehabilitation professionals, consumers of rehabilitation services and their advocates.

 We are planning many exciting training events for 2010 including our annual spring breakfast in June, our annual meeting in December and the Connections and Directions 2010 Conference, which is co-sponsored with ACCSES NJ, on April 26, 2010. We currently have vacancies on the board for Members at Large and President-Elect. If you are interested in becoming a member of the NJRA Board of Directors, please contact me to further discuss. Last year, we held two successful free trainings that were well attended and well received by those in attendance. CRC continuing education credits are provided for all of our training events.

 We also extend an offer to you to attend any of our board meetings. The meetings are held from 10am until noon. Please contact me (dates posted under board meetings schedule) for the location of our board meetings, as we are trying to accommodate all of our members throughout the state by hosting our meetings at various locations.

 Our chapter is only as strong and effective as its membership, and we look forward to having you become an active participant in our state chapter. The benefits of membership include attending our chapter’s board meetings, in-service and social events, advocacy for licensure issues in NJ, and our excellent trainings and conferences. Additionally, members will receive our semi-annual newsletter via e-mail, which contains additional information on our chapter activities.
